Seattle hates you. Legit.

This is so true of Seattleites! (and I’m one by birth)

6 Day Forecast for Seattle

Monday 94º
Tuesday 96º
Wednesday 97º
Thursday 96º
Friday 86º
Saturday 84º

Living here has taught me that we, as Seattleites, are apparently entitled to complain about absolutely anything we want. I hate the rain! I hate the sun! All this oxygen is killing me!

Urban Dictionary gets it right:

Seattleite
1. Any person living in or within ten miles of the city of Seattle, WA.
2. Is easily agitated when tourist asks to see the original Starbucks, Microsoft or Kurt Cobain’s house. True Seattleites do not care for these things.
3. Considers Seattle to be the best city on Earth.
4. Is a pretentious coffee snob due to the thousands of delicious coffee houses and rostaries that surround them.
5. Any person who knows not to visit Pike Place Market on a Saturday.
6. Any person who was disappointed by EMP.
7. Anybody who knows that “eating dicks” means eating burgers.
8. Any person that hates it when Californians drive through Washington and cry about the rain and the cold.
9. Typically a city that is completely devoid of soccer moms.

On the 8th day God created Seattle
and on the 9th day God created the Seattleite.
On the 10th day God finally rested.

This week’s thoughts.

  • I knew this morning would be brutal, plus my face is burnt from yesterday's fesivities. #
  • Is it possible to have a sun-overload hangover? Because that's what I feel like. #
  • Okay feeling alive and awake, going home to study some Polish. #
  • Just chillin' w/ the wife – so exhausted after the weekend. #
  • Another great day in PDX – could use a nice cool breeze though! #
  • Okay, going home – just to prepare for getting the shizz together for our IRS audit tomorrow morning 🙁 #
  • And the car is for sale: http://is.gd/1H5ar #
  • On my way to the IRS for an "examination" – ug. #
  • Waiting in the lobby of the federal building… not so exciting – boo. #
  • Hmmm, fun times. At least the IRS dude is really nice. Need to get dozens of cancelled checks now… #
  • IRS wants to get copies of 10 canceled checks in 10 days. If not we owe some back tax! We should be good after that – thank God! #
  • Okay on hyper drive now, thanks to the IRS eating up my time. #
  • Why can't people just leave the rest of us alone? Some guy delayed MAX by laying down infront of a train and refusing to move. GRR. #
  • http://twitpic.com/banvy – Someone offered me this as a trade for my car – um no! WRX still for sale: http://is.gd/1ImxM #
  • This is annoying, sitting only three stops into my commute just so a "relief" operator can take over, delaying all of us for 10 min! #
  • Oh yeah, now we're moving, "relief" operator never showed up – someone's in trouble, and I bet this operator is pissed. #
  • The WRX looks like it might be sold by the end of the weekend – I hope – I'll miss it though! #
  • An interesting topic which has been on my mind recently: http://is.gd/1KZmw #
  • Still waiting for someone to get back to us about the car after he took it to a mechanic… makes me nervous! I wonder what the mech said… #
  • The car is still for sale, 2002 Subaru WRX, check it out: http://is.gd/1MA2J #
  • It is sold, and I feel like flesh has died, but we're officially out of all debt and we have savings again!! #

This week’s thoughts.

  • Chilling at home, hoping the weather clears up so I can take some nice pictures of my car to post for sale. #
  • Good night peeps, Wake up O' sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you! – Eph 5:14 #
  • That was a close call – fare inspection. And I couldn't find my wallet! Had to get off – but then I found it! #
  • I'm going home. Good productive day, ending on time – w00t. #
  • Sitting at a transit center, waiting for MAX between the busses and spanish speakers, it's almost like another country. #
  • Trail-mix is a breakfast food, right? #
  • Work day over – now the important part of life starts. #
  • Should've worn sunglasses today. Squinting the whole ride to work isn't fun. #
  • Trying to think about something to write in this thing that I use to use – my blog. So many thoughts and so little time to process. #
  • Optimism and realism can work together #
  • I wish I could just spend the day outside, I miss the days of working from anywhere with WiFi 🙁 #
  • So passionate for Jesus, and the world he loves, that I can't be weird about my life – just fully relatable and engaged with the people! #
  • Bardzo dobrze wszelki! #
  • Dziękują Bóg, to jest Piątek! #
  • The weekend of "get 'er done" is here! #
  • Only thing I've accomplshd 2day is picking up the Tux 4 the Kraft wedding tomorrw. When Emma wakes – I'll wash the car and put it up 4 sale. #
  • Oh so ready for worship with @easthillfamily #
  • Helping @bkraft2012 with wedding details all day. Doing errands of high importance! #

This week’s thoughts.

  • Hello World. Welcome back. #
  • My co-worker took a call for someone with our website services, the caller asked "I have a website?" "I was wondering what that charge was!" #
  • Attempting to finish the day! One more item to do… choo choo #
  • Home, and fully stressed about finances. Anyone want to buy a 2002 Subaru WRX – 138k, with some fairly minor work needed? #
  • Doing what I can, being content for what I can't change, and loving God in all of it. Man, life is complicated right now. #
  • I'm going home. Date night tonight, having a calendar sucks and rules all at once. #
  • New camera comes tomorrow, thanks to the mother in law. 3rd anniversary is tomorrow, great gift! #
  • Alexis is making fun of me but doesn't know that I was going to tweet I love her. #
  • Wondering what today brings… #
  • Happy 3rd Anniversary Alexis! Love you and wish we could get out of town. #
  • Sad that our new camera is delayed and won't come until Monday now 🙁 – boo #
  • Whoa – okay people let's calm down and take one step at a time – just trying to help… thanks. #
  • Back to thinking about good things – like our 3 year anniversary… #
  • Here we go! #
  • My bride is incredible, she does so much with very little complaining! Thanks! #
  • I keep seeing cottonwood stuff fly through the air, it looks like big snow flakes, but it is quite sunny today in the PDX. #
  • Hoping that the not-so-good reviews of Portland Paintball that I read, we still have fun tonight. They still haven't called to tell me the $ #
  • Have a very busy weekend and next weekend too! The car will officially be for sale on Monday evening. The end to an era! #
  • One part of the weekend over – now to enjoy a nice quiet Saturday night at home… unless some friends want to crash in on us 🙂 #
  • Ug…. and to top of this crazy season – Comcast has now removed many of the free digital channels we use to get. #

This week’s thoughts.

  • Forgot my phone in my car at the transit center – 🙁 – have a cold (I hate summer colds), let's hope all is well by the time we go camping! #
  • Today I remembered my phone, and I can hear clearly through my left ear (for the moment) – one day at a time. #
  • I think I have drained about a gallon of cold-nastiness from my nose… this sucks… sucking is bad when you have a cold. #
  • Really wish more people took responsibility. #
  • When I'm sick I become very cynical and don't like myself, ug it's miserable. I hate it. But I don't want to think differently. #
  • Got to the train as it was leaving, realized I didn't have my wallet, went home got it, went back and missed the next train too. Now I wait. #
  • Attempting to be content, and hopeful for things yet unseen that are apparently good. #
  • That's it – I am factory resetting my phone – so beyond any troubleshooting, no fear, all the stuff I need will be downloaded over the air! #
  • Phone reset to factory settings – w00t! – TXT messaging works again, it's fast again, and nothing lost . #
  • Lots of prayer, lots of stuff, lots of decisions to think about. #
  • Going offline today at around 2pm – Pretty sure no service at campground – maybe on the 4th when we goto the fireworks show in the Gorge! #
