Snowed in, let’s prophecy.

[This post was actually published Nov 12, 2005 – it took me a while, nearly a year, to type up the following, and to make sense I wanted it to be published near the actual event to see what God has and is doing]
———————-
The following are words that I recieved from two people on the U-Turn Europe commitee. Not written here are the words Alexis recieved… “You once loved a man, but you must let him go now”… I thought, very interesting.
Here are my words:

January 16th 2005 prophesy – Johannes & Gert

• A sickness in you, something to do with the kidneys and stomach – could be physical or spiritual, prove in your spirit. Anoint the body with healing – blessings on them – Headaches at times? God is doing much cleansing.

• The Lord is cleaning don’t be shocked. Some of your suffering is connected. Lord wants to heal you. Self image, restoration. You have sinned where you did not want to, you had an identity in the Lord but it has been shattered, restore your identity in Christ. Lord is dealing with you in your self righteousness. The more we come into the light. You see yourself and you are disappointed. You are a good servant, and He is a good master.

• [Pooh bear hat placed on head] – You are a good servant. The inferiority inside of you is one part of pride. You walked with authority & leadership in Poland and you will do that and have it here. YOU ARE A PASTOR. God will challenge you to be looked upon. The Lord will develop more contacts, you will be asked to speak. You are a solider of God. Be looked at. The Hat allows you to be recognized. He is calling on you to finish college. You will be recognized as his servant. Lord is restoring your identity. He lives in you.

• The suffering you feel is your identity – God is going to restore you.

• You are good because He is good

• He doesn’t leave you.

• Someone is watching your back don’t worry.

A prophetic exercise

[This post was actually posted on Nov 12, 2005, but to make more sense I have retro-published it to fit in with when the actual event happened]
—————–
This past weekend was our intern retreat out on the beautiful Oregon Coast. It was an amazing time, great worship, great prayer, and God was there. Something which I had never experienced before was “prophecy”, and this past weekend we did a prophetic exercise. Now, before you go off thinking I’ve joined a cult or something, hear me out. No one forced us to speak, and no one was yelling, screaming, or making any other kind of strange body spasm, we simply laid our hands on each person and listened to what God was speaking to each of our fellow brothers and sisters. These are the words which came for me:

SPONGE: You are a sponge the yellow-green kind with lots of yuck inside. God is squeezing you, doing whatever HE can to clean you. It hurts. He will clean/fill you with His Holy water. His living water will wash you out. Decay needs to be uprooted. Dirty job but necessary.

BOAT: from Venice. Big staff in water you are holding staff.
Fisherman: This year the year to walk on water. Don’t look around or get frustrated. Cry out your fears, out loud.

WALKING ON WATER, IN POLAND: You were walking on water in Poland. Then you went down and Jesus picked you up. You were the only disciple in Poland. You’re now back in the boat with God in the storm, but God has quieted the storm. God wants to bless you. You are a foundational/pioneering person and God gave you this gift. God wants to heal you from mental and spiritual abuse, or any other. Enjoy the calm that God has made through the storm. The storm is not over. Endure the upcoming test. Be encouraged, you have the heart of Peter, so strong. Peter denied Christ three times, yet the church was built upon Peter.

LIGHTHOUSE: with stairs around the outside of building. Raining, thunder, but you keep climbing to the light. The light house is to warm ships of things coming. You’re wearing a black rain coat, God is that covering, he is with you. God’s given you persistence stronger than others. Because your faith is so strong in God you will press on.

HEBREWS 11:8-10: It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called on him to leave home and go to another land that god would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith – for he was like a foreigner, living in a tent. And so did Isaac and Jacob, to whom God gave the same promise. Abraham did this because he was confidently looking forward with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.

GOD EAGER TO USE YOU: God is sitting with eager expectation you are willing to serve and that gives God a great anticipation. Tender heart, a servant’s heart. God excited to work in you because you are so open he can do such great things in you and through you.

God is walking with you. You’ve gone through a lot and are being healed. God is with you and your strong faith. God will heal you.

You are a man of integrity. Strong in God. He is walking with you.

Your heart for God is awesome, seeking his face.

PIONEER/CONSTRUCTION: While walking the enemy tried to distract you. God will build foundation, and you will build a house and roof. He has plans of construction with you. You dig very consciencly. You rebuild. You know when they fit. You are a pioneer. Storm come and ruins inside house. So we do the immediate – restore inside. Then storm comes again and ruins inside. God is building the roof so the other work will last. Plan of construction before you.

Technical. You dig stuff out and put together useful pieces. Spiritual mechanic and make things useful. Pioneer.

Up in tree you are a strategist. “Traveling Travis”, missionary, ambassador, you’ll be like Joshua. You will tell people as Joshua did.

DELIVERANCE: Each step of lighthouse is new stage of deliverance. Some steps may seem to go off cliff. You may want to curl up on some steps, NO. Don’t be afraid. But God says “no my son, get up, stand up” You will pastor people. Pastor’s mantle. Open minded. As lighthouse light shines North, South, East, West, God will give you direction to those places. No matter how difficult it is, God has your hand, He is prompting you to GO.

He is your focus. Trust the Lord and run the race. The Lord is your fortress, strength, and shield.

CLEANLINESS: Deut 23:9-14 When you look at refuse you think that stinks. God doesn’t reject you. He sees the garbage and embraces you. God will cover the refuse and get rid of it. God doesn’t see you as unclean. He will not turn away from you.
When you go to war with your enemies, stay away from everything impure. Any man who becomes ceremonially defiled because of a nocturnal emission must leave the camp and stay away all day. Toward evening he must bathe himself, and at sunset he may return to the camp. Mark off an area outside the camp for a latrine. Each of you must have a spade as part of your equipment. Whenever you relieve yourself, you must dig a hole with the spade and cover the excrement. The camp must be holy, for the LORD your God moves around in your camp to protect you and to defeat your enemies. He must not see any shameful things among you, or he might turn away from you.

BROKENNESS by the Lord, so he can deliver you. You need to be broken before God can heal you. Get to rock bottom so He can build you up.

You will be Bold. You are a cool surfer that is steady from God, Karate Man. Surfing on a wave with glasses, coolness. Steady, firm, chilling on wave. Intimidate the Enemy. Like a gangster knife fight you scare opponent. You go ahead.

You have an Axe – chanting around a fire like an Indian. “you are a warrior”

PSALM 84:5-12
Happy are those who are strong in the Lord, who set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs, where pools of blessing collect after the rains! They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem. O God, look with favor upon the king, our protector! Have mercy on the one you have anointed. A single day in your courts, is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. For the Lord God is our light and protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will the Lord withhold from those who do what is right. O Lord almighty, happy are those who trust in you.

Don’t worry about tomorrow, for today brings enough worries of it’s own….

Here I am, I?ve told my boss about my plans for Poland. Wow, God is good, he took it well. I was worrying about it so badly, and everything came out just fine.

So here I am, at work, bored, when I shouldn’t be… but the first half of the day I felt like I couldn’t breathe, so now I?m just burnt out. I have been thinking a lot lately about the future, and the past. The future holds many questions, and if you keep trying to answer them you’ll turn your self in to a neurotic maniac!

What the future holds.

In one day,

another day of work,

three meals

and time with friends.

In one week,

more work,

many more meals,

and time with friends,

hopefully good times.

In one month,

Christmas will be done,

The new year will have come,

Hopefully I?ll have had some fun,

and CRU will be back from the winter conference!

In one year,

I?ll have been in Poland for about three months,

I?ll have had thanksgiving with new friends,

but w/o family

I?m sure I?ll be having some home sickness,

and I?ll be writing home to friends and family asking for prayer!

but I?m sure that I?ll finally have the feeling that I?m in a place God wants me!

So I?ve had a revelation

I need to turn my life around

So I need to get the ball rollin?

Before I hurt someone

I need to get out of the trap

I need to stop going in circles

I need to find that straight and narrow path

I have to listen to that someone

So God is the way

He is the path

I have to listen to his powerful word

Or I will hurt someone

Get me out of this trap

Stop the circles

Lead me to that path

Before I hurt someone

Oh God you are our God

I am too weak

Make me strong

Or someone will get hurt

Why is life like this, help get the ball rollin?

Deep thoughts and insecurity…

Deep thoughts and insecurity…

So, the last two days have been very, very interesting. On thanksgiving evening I spent time with my family just as most Americans do… it was pretty boring. I love my family very much, and I love the fact that I can now talk to them as adults and they treat me as an adult now. The whole night though I felt a little awkward, most of them know now that I’m hardcore in to “God” or my “religion” now, so I think for some reason that made them uncomfortable, I hope (in the bible the word for hope in the original text basically meant they expected) that is a good thing. I find myself acting almost the same as I did before I was Christian when I’m with extended family, except that when I would normally do something un-Christ-like I’m just quite now, I don’t find anything exciting to say or do, and therefore appear boring. But surprisingly the person I ended up talking to the most was my brother, him and I are becoming much closer now, it’s awesome. Praise God!

Today (Saturday the 29th) I ended up sleeping in until noon, I was suppose to help my friend’s family out at 1:00, I was about a half hour late, no problem. It was cool seeing my friend that I’ve known since pre-school, she is AWESOME, and might go the Pedro the Lion show with us tomorrow! I’m so EXCITED! I sold a phone to my brother today too, that was awesome, another step to being a real brother to him, I ended up buying him his phone as a gift for Christmas and his birthday, since he failed his credit check. It was cool though, and I also bought him a Bible, all of this with money I don’t really have, but God will provide, somehow. :).

A few feelings I’ve had over the last few days include… Feeling unattractive, this isn’t a new one, but the strange thing is I’ve been more confident, I guess being around confident people rubs off, amen! But none the less, I always feel like some other guy in the room is better, either in looks and/or personality, but this feeling is happening less and less. I’m not looking for a relationship right now anyway, because I don’t want to be co-dependent, I want to be fully dependent on God. Life is awesome, I have so many AWESOME friends, truly every single one of them challenge, lift me, help me, and really care for me, it is so awesome. Even with all of this, I still find my self going, hey, that guy looks really good, I want to look like him, or wow, I want have that guy’s charm, or whatever… But then, when I’m in a group, as I was tonight, I’m find my self getting “better” able to just shrug off things which would have normally shut me down. Praise God. I love ALL OF MY FRIENDS, you know who you are, and if your reading this and you don’t think your one of my friends, you are just for reading this! AMEN.

.: prayers, prayer requests :.

Father God,

In your awesome name and power

Please continue to make me stronger in fighting (and fighting is a weak word) the temptations which are put in front of me… help me to change and to turn away from those temptations, and forgive me for giving in them.

Thank you for my family, and thank you soooo much for bring my brother closer to me. I ask that this Sunday be a life applicable time for my brother to hear how YOU CAN BE IN HIS LIFE.

I invite you to continue making these changes in my life, open my eyes and my heart to everything you have for me.

I ask all of this and anything I’ve asked in secret in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Jesus Describes His True Family [Mathew 12:46-50]

As Jesus was speaking to the crowd, his mother and brothers were outside, wanting to talk with him. Someone told Jesus, “Your mother and your brothers are outside, and they want to speak to you.”

Jesus asked, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” Then he pointed to his disciples and said, “These are my mother and brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

Thanksgiving

So this is thanksgiving.

We all have much to be thankful for.

That you can read this.

That I can write this.

That Americans can give thanksgiving.

That you have access to this.

That we have life.

That we have the possibility of receiving a new life.

That we can thank others.

That we are thanked by others.

That fish are all around the world.

That people are fishing for other people.

That the fish are fed.

Then there was Chris.

Who likes to eat fish.

And likes to go running.

But would rather fish.

Who would like a housewife.

And likes wildlife.

But is tangled with the governors.

Who want the altars.

And is being hurled.

But life is still ample.

But he is misread.

.: prayers, prayer requests :.

Lord,

In your awesome name, we ask?

That everyone be able to count their blessings.

That this be a time of uplifting thoughts.

That those oversees, who are not spending time with their families be feeling your love.

That the homeless find a good meal, not only today but every day, and that the job opportunities in their lives are multiplied.

That those in need, in desperate situations, who have forgotten you, who have left you, who need you, who don?t know you, and who are seeking you, know you.

Lord, we thank you, for our friendships, family, school, life, and most of all YOU. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to worship you in a unique way, and to grow in you and learn more about you. We love you Lord.

Jesus Heals Ten Men with Leprosy [Luke 17:11-19]

As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. As he entered a village there, ten lepers stood at a distance, crying out, ?Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!?

He looked at them and said, ?Go show yourselves to the priests.? And as they went, their leprosy disappeared.

One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, ?Praise God, I?m healed!? He fell face down on the ground at Jesus? feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan.

Jesus asked, ?Didn?t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Does only this foreigner return to give glory to God?? And Jesus said to the man, ?Stand up and go. Your faith has made you well.?

-= foot notes =-

17:16 Jesus healed all 10 lepers, but only one returned to thank him. It is possible to receive God?s great gifts when an ungrateful spirit ? 9 of the 10 men did so. Only the thankful man, however, learned that his faith had played a role in his healing; and only grateful Christians grow in understanding God?s grace. God does not demand that we thank him, but he is pleased when we do so. And he uses our responsiveness to teach us more about himself.

Religion & Fellowship

Campus Crusade for Christ @ Cascadia Community College.

CRU as we like to call it is a place for anyone seeking a place to be accepted. We love people, and we love our campus, the reason… We love God. Tonight the speaker spoke about the awesome changes which occur after a person accepts Christ into their life. The idea that accepting Christ into your life is the most important and most fulfilling decision any person could ever make, was also discussed and backed by scripture. God is amazing, in the way he shares his word with people.

Tonight I had to have patients, because there are some things I think should be said in a different way, but God kept telling me that this is the way he wanted it for tonight. I have a problem with “religion” and when something begins to look religious instead of from the spirit, I get nervous, but I have learned that organization can be key, as long as the condition of the heart is full of Christ.

After CRU we always go out. Tonight was Denny’s. Denny’s in Woodinville is cool because it is smoke free, a good clean environment. As I was there listening to the conversations, of which relationships came up again, I was intrigued by all the interactions of people. God showed me that our generation, for some reason, is craving good strong relationships. I have seen many relationships get broken, simply because of bad communication, my goal for myself, is to communicate with everyone. I hope to lift all of my friends, coworkers and family, I ask God to help me in this. The world just needs some Christ-like love, I will leave my problems behind for the love of Christ. One of these days we will all look back at these days, and laugh & cry.

With Christ life is good.
